About me
I am a plant breeder, focused on the genetic improvement of perennial woody crops for the Upper Midwest.
I work as a research associate in the Dawson Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I am developing genomic prediction models to improve the efficiency of selecting for multiple traits in diverse populations of American hazelnut (Corylus americana), a native shrub.
At the non-profit organization Savanna Institute, I am also helping to assemble large germplasm collections for a number of perennial species that could be grown in agroforestry systems.
